Hello, I'm Vitor! đź‘‹

A software engineer from BrazilI started my journey like most developers, I wanted to create games , but as you're looking at this portfolio, maybe some things have changed, haha.

I follow a daily routine to keep everything in order. Without it, I feel lost (really haha). My routine includes time for work, studying, reading, going to the gym, resting and recording videos. This routine has been a pretty good summary of my last few years.

When I’m not learning about development, I focus on improving my soft skills, mainly by studyingpsychology. This knowledge helps me see the world from different perspectives, understand people better, and learn how they think. It also helps me build dicipline, mental control, and focus on the things I want to achieve.

I love teaching what I learn. That’s one of the reasons I created a youtube channel.Sharing knowledge with others is something I truly enjoy, and as a bonus, I learn even more when I teach.

Rules of my life

Some phrases that summarize my way of thinking and approaching life. These are principles I've developed over time through experience and reflection, helping me stay focused and productive in both personal and professional endeavors.

The most impressive human feats are, in reality, the aggregate of innumerable isolated elements, each of which, in a certain sense, is not extraordinary in itself.

My main focus has always been and still is to keep improving every day, even if it's just baby steps—learning one new thing, doing something different—but never stopping. In my mind, the key to success is not doing a lot of things in a short time but doing the same thing consistently over a long period.

The only way to go fast, is to go well.

Rush things could give the idea that things are going well, but there’s no way to run fast while running wrong. I always prioritize quality over quantity.

Just focus on one thing at a time.

I already tried doing a lot of things at the same time, but what I noticed is that if you try to do everything at once, you'll be like a duck—flying, walking, and swimming, but not doing any of them well. So, I just focus on one thing at a time.

Less but better.

There will always be very good opportunities, but fewer are truly exceptional, and that's where I try to focus my time. I do what has more potential, following the classic 80/20 rule.

Stop to be a learner, be a doer.

The most important thing I always do is use what I learn as soon as possible.

Hobbies

In my childhood, I spent a lot of time playing games, and my favorites were Minecraft, csgo, and League of Legends. Each of them was my most played game at different stages of my life. Nowadays, I don't have many skills for competitive games every time I try to play, I get crushed by kids hahaha.

So today, I prefer story-driven and strategy games. My favorite at the moment is Kingdom Two Crowns. I love playing games, but I don't play as much anymore because, when I have some free time, I'd rather do things away from screens like going to the gym, spending time with my girlfriend and family, running, playing beach tennis, or going on hikes.

My main motivation is to build the life I want to live one where I can travel, enjoy the sports I love, and have the quality of life I desire, all while creating things I can be proud of.
